COVID Cricket Update

Latest Tier 4 Cricket Updates - Posted 23rd December

As per a previous post, our winter nets were due to start on January (24th). With the current situation, it looks like they will be postponed.

Although the ECB has not actually released any specific information on how a county being in tier 4 affects cricket, the government have advised that indoor sport facilities need to temporarily shut.

It was also agreed by the committee that should we be in a position where only two people are allowed at the indoor nets at once (tier 2 & 3), then we should also postpone the nets and would advise members to book their own 1:1 net sessions in the mean-time, hopefully for not too long.

So with that being said, it looks certain we will be postponing the start of our winter nets. We will be monitoring any updates and be posting them here once more is shared.

We wish everyone a hopefully relaxing Christmas break.
