New South Weald CC Season Announcement 2021 - Posted 5th April
With the season now less than two weeks away, it's almost time to start thinking about playing some cricket!
As every season though, there are jobs to do around the ground to make sure we are fully ready and there is a planned work party on the 10th April.
There are also several announcements for club members to be aware of ahead of the 2021 season.

South Weald CC April Updates
Playing Summary
Nets will officially start from Wednesday 7th April. This will of course be subject to the weather and COVID Guidelines (see full details at bottom of page). As per usual, nets will be on the back-pitch until the end of April where we can start using the main pitch.
The club plans to use 'Doodle' for availability in the 2021 season as this proved a success last year. More details will follow later in the week.
Our first pre-season game is on Saturday 17th April which is a home game against Abridge.
There is currently no game planned for the 18th, but if we cannot find any opposition then the club will look to arrange an inter-club T20 friendly.

Other Playing Updates
For the first time in 16 years, the club will be competing in the national village cup. See the full article here.
We also have a total of 5 mid-week T20 games organised and will be part of the newly formed 'Mid-Week T20 Essex League'. Games will start from the end of May and run until mid-August
Subs / Membership
Subs will remain the same price as they have been for previous years, however the committee has agreed to review membership fees on a case-by-case basis for those who have not been able to work/been unemployed due to the challeneges of Covid.

Senior Membership - £85
Junior Players (U18) & Students - £40
Social Membership - £30
Family Membership (1 adult & 1 junior player) - £85

New Car Park

Mower Update
The club will be looking to acquire a new mower to replace the existing machinery in the 2021 season. Following the recent successful crowdfunder, and getting an additional grant in, the search has already begun with an aim to have something sorted by May.
